Washington Township · October Routes

Sprinkler blowouts in Washington Township.

Washington Township means bigger lots, longer lateral runs, and a meaningful number of homes irrigating off wells. Long runs hold more water and more low spots, and well-fed systems have pump-side components that need to be isolated correctly before air goes through the lines. Both are routine for us — they just punish the guy with the small compressor who's in a hurry.

The Work

What a blowout covers at your house.

Compressed air pushed through every zone at 50 to 60 PSI — never above 80 — until each one runs dry mist. Backflow preventer isolated with test cocks and ball valves left at 45 degrees. Controller shut down for the winter. When we pull out of the driveway, you get a text with your zone count and anything worth knowing about. We tow a 185 CFM compressor so volume does the work, because pressure is what cracks fittings and melts rotor gear drives.

Washington Township Questions

Asked on our Washington Township routes.

My irrigation runs off a well. Can you still blow it out?

Yes. We isolate the pump side first, then push air through the zones the same as a municipal system. What we never do is run air back toward your pump — that's the mistake that turns a $79 service into a pump replacement.

Do long lateral runs on acreage cost more?

Only through the zone count — nine zones and up adds $10. Our 185 CFM compressor has the volume to clear long runs without cranking pressure, which is exactly where big-lot systems get damaged by smaller rigs.

When is it too late for a blowout?

In Macomb County the first hard freeze usually lands in the first half of November and it does not warn you. Anything still holding water when the ground freezes is at risk. October is the window.

Do I need to be home?

No. We need access to the controller and the backyard. Leave the gate unlocked or send the code, and we will text you a summary when we pull out of the driveway.
